About We2Bet

An independent reference on how gambling is regulated around the world โ€” and how people can stay safe, get help or get out.

What we do

We2Bet (we2bet.org) is an informational portal about the gambling industry. We publish country-by-country regulatory profiles for 36 jurisdictions, an interactive comparison table, 57+ in-depth explainers on regulation, business, consumer rights and responsible gambling, step-by-step self-exclusion manuals, a directory of support services and a set of anonymous self-tests and calculators.

Our readers include people who gamble and want to understand the products they use, families worried about someone they love, journalists and researchers, students, and professionals working in compliance, law and public policy.

Independence and how the site is funded

  • Not affiliated with operators. We2Bet is not owned, operated or controlled by any casino, betting company or other gambling operator.
  • No casino banners or affiliate links. We don't run casino banner ads, operator rankings, bonus offers or affiliate tracking links.
  • Guest posts and press releases. Our articles section may publish guest posts and press releases, including paid ones. These can contain links, free or paid, to third-party websites, including casinos, betting sites and other gambling-related sites. A link is not an endorsement.
  • Reference content stays editorial. Our regulatory profiles, comparison tables, responsible-gambling guides, self-exclusion manuals and helpline directory are produced independently and are not for sale.
  • No tracking of self-test answers. Our self-tests and calculators run entirely in your browser.

Full details are in our Terms & Conditions and editorial policy.

Why "We2Bet"?

Because gambling is something societies decide on together โ€” through laws, regulators, operators, health services and the choices of individuals. We think everyone with a stake in that decision deserves clear, accurate information.

How we work

Our content is researched from primary sources wherever possible: legislation, regulators' publications, court judgments and official statistics. Each country profile shows a "last reviewed" date. Because gambling law changes quickly, we flag developments that are pending or uncertain rather than presenting them as settled. Read our editorial policy for details.

Responsible gambling

Gambling is restricted to adults โ€” 18+ in most jurisdictions, and higher in some. If gambling is affecting you or someone close to you, our support directory lists free, confidential services in every country we cover, and our self-exclusion manuals explain how to block access.

Corrections

If you spot an error or an out-of-date rule, we want to know. Corrections are made promptly and the review date is updated.
