Gambling help in Italy

Italy provides gambling treatment free of charge through the national health service: gambling disorder (disturbo da gioco d'azzardo) is included in the essential levels of care, and local addiction services (SerD, Servizi per le Dipendenze) offer assessment and therapy without cost. The Istituto Superiore di Sanitร  (ISS) runs a national toll-free helpline, the Telefono Verde, which gives anonymous advice and directs callers to their nearest service. Many regions run their own prevention and treatment programmes, and associations and self-help groups such as Giocatori Anonimi and Gam-Anon support gamblers and families. Online, ADM's national self-exclusion register (RUA) blocks access to all licensed gambling sites.
